Forest Concessions & Management
Forest Concessions in Guyana are required to operate under approved 5-year Forest Management Plans by the Guyana Forestry Commission (GFC). Approved Annual Management Plans are required before harvesting of timber can proceed, a GFC Code of Practice regulates field operations, extraction is tracked with a mandatory log-tagging system and a network of GFC forest stations monitors production. {} |
